About Us:

Baby Bears Daycare recently reopened in Locust Grove, Va. from Prince William County, Va. The founder, Donna Jones, has extensive experience with children of all ages as both a mother and a daycare provider. She is married to a wonderful, supportive husband for over fourteen years and has 3 wonderful, energetic children. She has been providing childcare for more than 14 years. Over the years she has developed the belief that too many childcare facilities tend to over- book and have too many children in their care. This causes the child to lose their sense of security. She deeply believes that those children were not receiving the best care possible. She is CPR and First Aid Certified and follows all standards for registration/ licensing. She also has a criminal history check performed on each family member over 14 years and runs the daycare with the same concern and love as always.

EVERY CHILD WANTS & DESERVES TO FEEL SPECIAL!

                                                                                Description of Program

Here at Baby Bears Daycare, I provide the children in my care opportunities to learn in a family-like environment. Your child will receive quality, personal, and individualized care in a warm and loving home. I care for a small group, as it is my belief that fewer children equals better care. I provide parents with daily reports in an effort to communicate schedules and routines during this wonderful time of growth, exploration, and change. In this way, parents are no longer treated like  numbers in the system or a simple paycheck, but only like family. Parents also receive a weekly newsletter as a reminder of upcoming events, holidays, and other pertinent information pertaining to the parent-child relationship. I provide a curriculum for daily activites which includes alphabets & counting, colors & shapes, games(indoor & outdoor), songs, storytelling, etc. The children that I care for also learn beginning spanish and use the computer regularly as a learning tool. I also provide disney-type movies that are watched occasionally. Only nutritious meals/snacks are served and approved by the USDA National Food Program. I provide equal access to the public's accomodations for enrollment without regard to race, religion, color, natural origin or sex. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our program. I am here to help you.

                Put Your Child First!!!

THEY WILL REMEMBER

by Eileen Koscho

I take care of your children.
I love them. I teach them.
I clean them, and I feed them.
And when nighttime comes,
my heart worries about them
I take care of your children.
I see their first steps.
I hear their first words.
I share their happiness, and
I feel their hurts.
I take care of your children,
as if they were my own.
And when they are grown,
And no longer need me,
My love will be a part of them
deep within the heart of them.
They will know that I was there for them unconditionally.
And they will remember!
